What Health Insurance Plans Are Grandfathered?

Health Insurance plans issued prior to March 26, 2010 are Grandfathered, unless discontinued by the carrier. In most cases, plans issued after 3/26/2010 and before 12/31/2013 are being discontinued. Plans issued after 01/01/2014 are required to comply with ACA/Obamacare regulations. The Open Enrollment Period for a January 1, 2015 effective date ends on December 15th. Late enrollments may be submitted until February 15, 2015 with coverage beginning the 1st of the following month.
