Insurance Deductibles. Start over Jan 1

I got hurt last year and had to make my high deductible, come jan 1 my insurance starts a new deductible and Im still not well or healed from original claim. Plus is now raising my premiums 35%. Pushing 10k a year. This is B.S. If you have a auto accident and insurance pays to repair your car and a month later a problem arrises and car has to be repaired again due to undiscovered related problems they continue to pay original claim. Is this normal practice for health insurance companies, if so I can see why people no longe carry health insurance they cant afford the ripoff any more!

Typically, medical expenses incurred from a specific claim that roll to the next year can be counted on the same claim and applied from last year’s deductible. Often this includes treatment that was done in the same year.

If additional treatment is needed the following year, it is possible a new  deductible will apply. Contact  a local experienced broker and seek their help in this matter. You’ll be glad you did.
