You should know why you’re using the retirement plan you have and why you didn’t select another. The list of qualified plans has many options: SIMPLE IRA, SEP IRA, 401k, 403b, 457b, 412i, etc. Non-qualified, but tax advantaged retirement plans like life insurance and annuities.
