Renters coverage differs with different insurance companies. Renters insurance from Farmers Insurance provides liability coverage in case you harm another individual or damage their property. Farmers also includes a small coverage of $500 should someone be hurt inside your apartment. Renters insurance through farmers has liability limits that go up to $1,000,000. This is a great product to supplement your auto insurance liability limits.

Renters Insurance has liability coverage as part of the policy. Most polices will have at least a minimum of $100,000 in coverage. So in the event someone wants to sue you claiming you caused or are responsible in some fashion for their bodily injury and/or property damage you policy will respond to the claim.

Renters insurance like homeowners insurance provides liability coverage for incidents that may happen to others that you are deemed responsible for ( check your policy for exclusions ). The limits of this coverage are listed within your policy and can vary depending on state and the coverage that you elected to have.
