Does the affordable care act cover long term care insurance? At first, yes it did. Long term care was part of the ACA. Early on, it was removed or parked as part of the plan due to the realization that it is not affordable to extend the benefit to all people. It is one of what will probably be many aspects of the ACA that doesn’t pencil out math wise.
