In all consumer condor, purchasing participating whole life for permanent coverage is too expensive when compared to the less expensive guaranteed universal life. That being said, participating whole life may be an excellent alternative for long term savers looking for future tax advantaged retirement income. The policy can be enhanced with a term and PUA rider to maximize cash values.
