When looking for a good life insurance company, you have the agency to deal with (that sells you the policy) and the company (that offers the policy). For the agency, it helps to see if they have a website, facebook page, LinkedIn page, or other place where you can read about them. You can see there if they have credentials such as a Better Business Bureau rating, read testimonials, and see what their specialties are. When finding the actual company through which to purchase life insurance, you will want to look at their rating by AM Best and other rating agencies.
