Contractor experiences property damage on roof he is working on and finds out that the client was not aware that the company they hired had contracted the roofing job. The relationship that prevails is the relationship between the homeowner and the insurance company. Returning the roof to serviceable condition is the obligation of the insurance company. The actual company providing the work is immaterial. If you are dissatisfied with the contractor selected by the insurance claims adjuster, speak to that person about your concerns.
