    Currently, most individual plans have limited psych benefits vs. group health plans which are typically richer in benefits.

    That being said, dissociative identity disorder (DID) or MPD is a “questionable” diagnosis at best. The DSM code is 300.14, but even then there is disagreement within the psychiatric community about the illness.

    There is a belief that some will try to fake the illness, so getting a carrier to agree with the diagnosis and certify the claim may be a challenge.
