If someone is accessing health insurance as part of a group plan through an employer they should have no problem getting health insurance despite having cancer.
If the individual purchases individual health insurance on his or her own and has not lapsed that coverage and is seeking new or different coverage, the individual should be able to get that new coverage as long as there is no lapse in their coverage.
