   You can pay for health insurance with a credit card…sometimes. I’ll clarify. Typically, when you apply for a new policy, there may be a billing option that allows you to make the first payment with a credit card.

   However, usually, with ongoing and future billing, payment by check or via mail is the preferred method. However, late payments can often be paid by credit card. Each carrier has its own rules.
