No, it does not. Auto insurance does not cover maintenance issues. Unless the engine was damaged by a collision, or a tree fell on it and damaged it, or something like that (something that applies to a claim). if there is a situation where a collision cause enough damage for the engine to be replaced, the vehicle will probably be totaled out anyways.
