   Xalatan is a prescription medication used to treat glaucoma. The drug is available on an outpatient basis in a retail pharmacy or via mail order.

   Outpatient medications are covered under Medicare Part D, available from a private insurance carrier. Check your drug plan formulary to learn if the drug is covered and your out of pocket share.
