Collision is one of the two physical damage protection elements of a car policy, the other being Comprehensive. Collision is the more narrowly defined of the two. It provides coverage for damage to your car caused by hitting another motor vehicle, a stationary object or a person. The settlement of such a claim would of course be subject to your policy deductible.
