We have a new 16 year old driver. Friends are telling us in MN if the cars he is driving are fully insured he doesn’t have to be insured (meaning we don’t have to tell our agent or increase our rates). This seems crazy to me.

Will insurance cover a fire if it occurred on the same day a policy was reinstated?
Fire happened at 12:50 a.m. Premium was paid at 11:00 a.m. Policy was reinstated for 12:01 am the day of the fire. Will insurance cover?

Is my driveway covered if the city cut through it to fix fix their water leak?
The water shut off valve is in our driveway. It was leaking on the city side. They came in to repair. Cut a large section out of our asphalt to get to it. Because of the leak we have a deep crack and a sink hole that actually collapsed as we drove into our garage. We have to replace the whole driveway rather that’s just resurface after they filled in with dirt and gravel.
